Although beatboxing started in Singapore in 2003, awareness of the art form only started rising in 2005. It was that year that the first ever Singapore Beatbox Championships, organized by 98.7fm, was held at the Black Eyed Peas concert. The winner, Ryan Chan, won the finals against Bryant Koh.

Our company “808″, specializes in vocal-percussion aka beatboxing
Our core focus is to educate those who are
interested in the art of beatboxing, as well as using beatboxing as a
fun tool to teach children (primary to secondary levels) music theory
and application, basic presentation skills, teamwork, and also
building up their confidence. Our lessons are structured in a way
whereby they will learn the basic skills in music and rhythm, which is
already part of their music curriculum.
